The Optiflow Junior Nasal Cannula by Fisher & Paykel is designed for infant patients (about 37 weeks to 3.5 years old). This high-flow nasal cannula features soft, tapered silicone prongs for gentle insertion that helps minimize nasal irritation and pressure, promoting greater comfort during extended therapy. The breathable FlexiTube reduces condensate buildup, while its crush-resistant design ensures safe and consistent airflow. The cannula also includes adhesive Wigglepads, which help stabilize the prongs on the infant’s cheeks to reduce displacement with movement. An easy-click rotating connector allows some flexibility between the infant and the breathing circuit, and color-coding simplifies size identification. Suited for use with Fisher & Paykel systems such as the Airvo 2 or MR850.
